Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugars, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, egg, and pumpkin purée.
  4. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
